Just another day. (Or, yet another adventure to the end of my sanity.)

Finally normal transmission has resumed here, at three in the afternoon. Who said life is annoying. It isn’t, it is mind bending, pain in the neck, watch your brains leak out of your ears, cross eyed, brain snapping, tree climbing annoying.

It’s amazing how one tiny thing can redesign a day, to the point where you come to the conclusion that if there is a God, he has one hell of a sense of humour, as well as a low boredom threshold. This results in you getting 240 volts through your puppet strings. So much so that after going forth from the happy home, bravely thinking your small problem will be fixed in minutes, which for the record took two and a half hours, you finally drag your battered self out of the car and actually find yourself wincing as you open the mail box. Because if there is one more stuff up waiting for you in the mailbox you are simply going to be reduced to a thumb sucking, drooling mess in the corner somewhere.

So at the end of days like this, you realise why you loose track of days. The house looks exactly the way you left it when you went to bed the previous night. Nothing has happened because while you may have had noble plans, life decided that wasn’t enough to test your character. Any more character dumped on this little red duck and she is going to be a walking talking cartoon.

Is it any wonder I take the phone off the hook and refuse to answer the door some days? My kids know these days well, they realise that unless they are bleeding profusely it is probably a good idea to not contact me. They learnt at a young age sometimes mummy needs just a little time to herself to be restored to her usual sunshine, soapsuds, and rhubarb crumble motheriness.

So, now safely home, I shall proceed directly to destroying the eardrums with some loud ‘relaxation’ music. While for many, something like forest streams would be the go, each to his own. Think I am heading more in the good ole, annoy the bejasus out of the neighbours, rock and roll direction. Nothing like a bit of Alice Cooper to brighten your day.
